SUMMARY:Half Day Chronic Pain Programme for HWBC
DESCRIPTION:Our half day Chronic Pain programme will run on Tuesday 10th September 2024; timings will be 09:15 meet/welcome for a 9:30 start, with a 13:00 finish.\nThe programme is aimed at Health and Wellbeing Coaches who see people with chronic pain as well as healthcare professionals from any discipline who have been trained in health coaching and who see people with chronic pain.\nThis programme is suitable for anyone who has attended a 2 day (or more) health coaching programme with ourselves or any other Health Coaching provider.\nThe programme will look at understanding why people develop chronic pain and why medical treatments have only limited effect.  It will also look at the specific challenges of working with people with chronic pain and how to mange those challenges, and will give guidance on how to support people with chronic pain to reduce their reliance on medicines.\nThe programme is structured as a half day workshop and is highly interactive with an emphasis on skill practice and development. The programme will be delivered using a participative and experiential learning process supported by expert input. We will create many opportunities to practice skills and challenge you to identify how you can apply your learning to your own work place settings.\n
