End Point Assessment
On completion of our apprenticeship programme, apprentices will need to undertake their EPA. Whilst this is separate to our training, we will have provided the learner with the necessary support and resources throughout their journey with us to ensure they are fully prepared for the end point assessment.
The learner will need to complete a range of assessments and observations:
Gateway to the EPA - The line manager (employer), learner and tutor will make a joint decision as to when the apprentice is ready, based on their competence and performance in their role.
Employer Satisfaction - For the learner to be able to move forward with their EPA, their employer must be satisfied that they are consistently working at, or above, the level of the occupational standard.
Functional Skills - Learners must have passed their English and mathematics Level 2, if it was a requirement.
Apprentice Portfolio - Learners need to create a portfolio of 'evidence', which should demonstrate that they can successfully apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours required as a coaching professional.
EPA -
- Learners will need to pass a knowledge test (multiple choice format)
- Learners will be observed by an independent assessor and will need to demonstrate KSBs.
- Learners will need to take part in an Interview, which will be supported by their portfolio of evidence
E-Learning Platform
TPC Health have partnered with Athena MIS providing an integrated ePortfolio system that enables apprentices and employers to manage evidence, complete online learning, and track progress throughout the learning journey. This centralised platform fosters effective communication between apprentices, assessors, and employers, ensuring a cohesive and transparent learning experience.
