Examples of our work

Enhance your effectiveness in health and social care through our comprehensive apprenticeship programmes.

The hands-on learning approach made the day both interesting and beneficial! I’m looking forward to seeing how much we progress over the next year—both as coaches, and in the wider impact it will have in our roles. – Assistant Psychologist and Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprentice

Experience in the health and care sector

We’ve trained over 15,000 professionals across primary care, mental health, integrated care systems, and the VCSE sector. Our programmes consistently deliver measurable, lasting impact — helping learners build confidence, apply skills in practice, and contribute meaningfully to their teams and services. We’ve led some of the largest health coaching and personalised care development programmes in the UK. Independently evaluated, our work has shown clear improvements in workforce capability, service delivery, and patient experience.

Our work is grounded in a deep understanding of the NHS, local government, and voluntary sector landscapes. We’ve worked across the system — from frontline teams to leadership — giving us insight into the pressures, challenges, and opportunities within each setting. This lived experience allows us to design and deliver training that feels relevant and authentic. We speak the language of the sector and create learning that directly supports day-to-day realities and long-term transformation.

  • We have run the largest and most successful workforce development programmes in health and wellbeing coaching,  having trained over 15,000 health and care practitioners.
  • We’re consistent contributors to national policy and guidelines, authoring the Health Coaching Summary Guide for the NHS England Personalisation Team. We work closely with NHSE and the PCI to support the development of health coaching and personalised care.
  • We have led the development of Health Coaching in the health sector since 2008, continually creating new applications of Health Coaching..

What makes TPC Health’s approach different and meaningful?

It’s very important to us that anything we do is meaningful and impactful. We always aim to really understand what a client needs from an intervention, and then partner with them to design programmes that can deliver lasting change.

Practical Focus

We place emphasis on addressing the challenges that practitioners face & what they can do to improve their practice & support behaviour change

Evidence Based

We utilise scientific, psychological theories & evidence-based research to guide the development of our tried & tested interventions & programme material

Active Learning

We believe the best approach is to incorporate a range of inputs & activities e.g. theory, discussions, reflection, group learning & skills practice

Meaningful To You

We know skills practice about personal experiences driving an appreciation of the usefulness of the techniques & approach is best

Workplace Application

We create an opportunity to think about & plan how to close the knowing, doing & being gaps in applying learning to practitioner roles, & embed the approach

What people are saying about us:

“Very engaging, exciting, applicable and fresh course. I think all in leadership/management roles should do this course. The skills are also relevant in clinical practice.

“This training was very impactful. I think it was helped by the openness and willingness of the group but the trainer supported this environment, putting everyone at ease and helping us to block out the busy day to focus on the training. I would recommend it to anyone, whether interested specifically in coaching or not.”

“I learnt a lot about myself and this surprised me – in a good way! The programme has really helped me engage with colleagues better, and support people in achieving their goals.”

Shared Decision Making

Healthy Boundaries & How To Set Them

Working in healthcare requires us to manage a number of boundaries which serve to: maintain a level of professionalism, ensure we are effective within our role, and protect both practitioner and patient. Boundaries help us to define and communicate the parameters…

Informed decision making and consent in maternity and neonatal services

The provision of high-quality personalised care is core to the 3-year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services. Despite informed decision-making being an ethical, professional and legal standard, the 2023 maternity survey reported that only 76% of women felt as involved as they would have liked in decisions during childbirth (1). Informed (previously shared) decision…

Part 2 – Becoming More Evidence-Based as a Coach

In my last blog, I talked about the foundations of coaching practice (or indeed any form of person-centred practice)- trust, rapport and empathy. I neglected to mention kindness and compassion which have received a lot of attention over the last few years (1). Let me tell you why… Whilst kindness and compassion are important elements…
