Individuals already working within a health or care setting, who wish to gain enhanced skills to manage the practitioner/patient relationship and support personalisation and self-management. Enhanced skills in coaching is also an excellent way to support the development of practitioners in new roles that are designed to address the critical and complex issues that organisations are faced with, for example, patient flow, major conditions and recovery. This programme is ideal for individuals in health and social care roles, including:

This 12-14 months apprenticeship blends theoretical learning with hands-on coaching practice, ensuring learners develop the necessary skills to become highly effective coaching professionals.

To apply, learners must:
- Be employed in a health or social care role where coaching can be applied.
- Have employer support to complete the programme.
- Be able to dedicate time to off-the-job training, including workshops, projects, and reflective practice.
To successfully complete the apprenticeship, learners must pass an End-Point Assessment (EPA), including:
- A knowledge test (multiple-choice format).
- A coaching observation by an independent assessor.
- A portfolio-based interview demonstrating competence.
