The Programme Experience
Develop advanced coaching skills for lasting impact
Our advanced level Practitioner Coaching Programme is for anyone seeking to develop professional coaching capabilities to become an internal coach or deliver coaching services.
The programme builds on the content described in our 4 day intermediate level Foundation Coaching Skills programme, and extends participants’ knowledge and understanding of coaching through addition of the following content:
Participants will learn the fundamental pillars of coaching, and will build on this learning through a combination of teaching, practice both in the classroom and with real coachees, online learning and reflective writing.
Participants will develop advanced skills practice in coaching models, conversation frames and techniques with constructive feedback from expert practitioners. There will also be an advanced practical skills assessment and reflection process.
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be eligible for the EMCC EQA award at Practitioner level, and can apply for their European Individual Accreditation (EIA) subject to meeting EMCC requirements.
The programme is structured as 8 workshops, delivered over a number of months to allow participants to practice their developing skills.
The programme can be delivered as either a stand alone 8 day programme or as an 4 day upgrade programme to our 4 day Foundation Coaching Skills Programme.
Prior to the workshops, participants are onboarded through a reflective process and briefing pack that supports them to prepare appropriately and gain maximum value from the sessions.
This is an interactive programme with an emphasis on skill practice and development. The programme will be delivered using a highly participative and experiential learning process supported by expert input. We will provide a set of tools and techniques to support participants to develop knowledge and skills of advanced coaching principles.
The programme involves many opportunities to practice their coaching skills so participants will learn to work confidently with a more advanced approach. We emphasise skills for embedding learning through on-going practice, reflection and planning as reflexive practitioners. During and between workshops we will emphasise on-going practice, reflection and planning as reflexive practitioners.
We follow-up these programmes with webinars and online learning sessions or a series of e-learning based coaching shots that comprise brief inputs and memory aids to support participants in the application of their learning after the workshop.
Attending our advanced level Practitioner Coaching training offers coaches the opportunity to elevate their practice to an advanced level, making them highly effective, sought-after professionals in the coaching field. Despite informed decision-making being an ethical, professional and legal standard, the 2023 maternity survey reported that only 76% of women felt as involved as they would have liked in decisions during childbirth (1). Informed (previously shared) decision…
